motive (“we”) builds a small social app for organizing in-person activities. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you sign up, we collect the email address associated with your account and (if you sign in via Google) your Google profile name and photo. Inside the app, we store anything you put on your profile (display name, age, city, bio, interests, photo, optional phone and Instagram handle). We also store the events you create or join and the messages you post in event group chats or in direct messages with friends.

What we do with it

We use it to make the product work — to show you events near you, to let attendees see who's going, and to deliver messages to the people you're chatting with. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. Phone number and Instagram handle are visible only to people you've accepted as friends.

Where it lives

Data is stored on Supabase (Postgres + Storage) in the United States. Authentication runs through Supabase Auth, with optional Google sign-in via Google OAuth.

Your controls

You can edit or delete most of your data from inside the app: edit your profile, delete events you created, leave events, unfriend people, or block users. To delete your entire account, email nathanseankirkby@gmail.com and we'll remove you within 7 days.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.
