Delete your account

This page explains how to permanently delete your mōtive account and everything in it — either right in the app or by email. mōtive is a small social app available on Google Play and the App Store.

Delete it in the app

The fastest way is inside mōtive: open the app, go to your Profile, open Settings, and tap Delete account. You'll confirm once, and your account and everything in it are removed right away.

Prefer email?

If you can't get into the app, you can ask us to delete it for you:

1. Send an email to info@joinmotive.app.
2. Use the subject line “Delete my account”.
3. Send it from the email address you signed up with, so we can confirm the request is really from you.
4. We'll reply when it's done — usually within 7 days.

What we delete

When you ask us to delete your account, we permanently remove:

• your profile (display name, age, city, bio, interests, photos, phone, Instagram handle)
• any events you created and your record of events you joined
• every message you've sent — in event group chats and in direct messages with friends
• your friend connections and any pending friend requests
• push-notification tokens registered for your devices, so we stop contacting you
• your authentication record (email, password hash, and any Google or Apple sign-in links)

What we keep

Nothing lasting. Everything tied to your account — your profile, events, messages, photos, and uploaded images — is removed when you delete. If you delete in the app this happens right away; email requests are processed within 7 days. Short-lived infrastructure backups may hold copies briefly before they cycle out, but we don't retain analytics records or anonymized copies of your data.
